Dear Public Official,

Today, information can be accessed instantaneously across an ever-expanding assortment of digital devices. I am contacting you because I obtained your information online. I am asking you to consider postin your information in standard formats online in a detailed format, on an ongoing basis, in a timely manner. Following the 8 Principles of Open Data, you can leverage the power of semantic data both inside your organization and for the your constituents. Making public data accessible online will allow others to build atop of it and innovate, bringing value, opportunity, and awareness.

May 14-22 - When Lucas wants to kick-off a series of OpenGov events. Goal for this year: 100 meetups (small and large). Solicit and inform citizens on key issues, around the thread of transparency, participation, and collaboration. Make it easy for a distributed network of organizers to access and develop shared assets for use. Assets include: slide shows, audio, video, resources (blogs, articles, research), event-planning, and more. NDC
