Intro

TODO: insert a picture of the double diamond.

Consider linking to a few John Cutler tweets where I respond with "interchange"

Generative

Ideation

Brainstorming

Open-ended problem solving

Increasing to-dos, ideas to contemplate

These are examples of generative work patterns; or patterns that generate work to be done.

Concentrative

Prioritization

Scoping

Refinement

Consolidation

Doing work

Saying no to new work or anything that enlarges the scope of work already in flight

These are examples of concentrative work patterns; or patterns that reduce work to be done through doing; in its many forms.

Balanced interchange

When creating something new in an organization, a concentrative force is necessary, to put something together that stays together. (arrows push inward [creation] and push outward [growth])

What are the disintegrative forces? (arrows pulling outward [disintegration])

Which arrows pull inward? [implosion]

The perspective for the organization is distinct (but not necessarily different) than each individual's perspective.
