Bodies of law are like software code-bases.

At least as far as they are both guides, precedents, patterns, and rules to be interpreted by others. Law, like code, is typically perceived as a domain by specialists. Lawyers, Programmers/Software Engineers.

Like GitHub has done for code, something similar should be done for Law.

Where laws live at reliable URL's. Reference able by version, with comments, in the open.
