Focus on removing the frictions from the learning loops, that are most closely associated with user-facing work. These are the people on the ground, day-to-day.

Scaling is about increasing the momentum, force, and consequentially, the size of the operation. Size-wise, scaling could be moving from one location to two, one town to another, one region to another, or even to another county. Scaling could also be expanding to a new market or industry. Scaling could be introducing a new product or service that increases the potential customer value of all customers at once.

Alignment

To realize "focus" across a large group, the vision must be clear and resonant. Daily practices must resonate with the vision, internal, and external narratives about a company (how employees talk within a company, and how marketing/sales represent an offering).

Because a product is a distillation of human-thinking, it is important to think and act holistically to design solutions that a coherent in intent and function. Basically, what you're building is useful to users, and treat software with the disdain and respect it is due for both its rigidity and malleability.

Starting with users, make sure to understand their needs, create interfaces they can understand easily and interact with productively. This informs the Product Vision.

The Product Vision is like a song that Product Management is responsible for orchestrating. Individual contributors; Designer, Product Managers, and Engineers work together, writing and playing from their own scripts in 1 or 2 week iterations or "sprints". The orchestration and harmonization of talent is a noble goal.
