I am a huge fan of Charlie Kaufman, and enjoy the show, Community. A few years ago, Kaufman, and the creators of Community launched a Kickstarter project together, which I was happy to fund.
I discovered the film was released and available to view at a local theatre.
The film was amazing and thought-provoking, but this post isn't to review the movie, but rather comment on the collaborative funding platform that is Kickstarter, and how it potentially enabled this type of work that may not be possible in the traditional funding environment.
In true collaborative fashion, Kickstarters were credited in the film credits. Hey there we are!
I'm grateful to have the opportunity and ability to fund creative projects in evolving ways.
PS: Do check out the film.
