A few weeks ago, I found out the Palmer Squares were touring the West Coast. Heck, they were even coming to San Francisco. Minutes from home. Perfect.

But.. pre-made plans had us out of town on Saturday night. Options?

So, my lovely, dialed-in wife booked a hotel gameday, and we bounced from work early Friday, made it down to Santa Cruz for a couple drinks and a bite before the show at The Blue Lagoon. We stopped at Surfrider Cafe for food, and the Poet and the Patriot for drinks, and darts .

Rolled up early and saw Term K playing on a skateboard out front, then headed inside to see other things being rolled up.

Openers [Sweatshop & Owl Green]() were surprisingly sick. I'm glad to catch a show when they're out here.  The Palmer Squares continue to punch above their weight.
