Philip, I'd love to bounce some ideas around if you're interested. I worked at a County Auditor's Office for 6+ years, was Director of Operations (Finance & Technology) at a public Charter School for 2, and had spent a few months at a Cal State University, all doing technical work tied to public operations (hardware, application support, and programming) . I work with Ruby/Rails nowadays. I'm very interested in sharing the detailed workflows of the public sector. I'm all for fleshing out the context of the public processes. I believe there's lots of potential telling compelling, coherent stories with the data, over time. Disclaimer: I now work for Granicus and this would be a wholly on my behalf, and not on the company's.
